The box is wood, the size of a hardcover book, with hinges and a small lock. Inside, a sequence of compartments, each guarded by a mechanical puzzle. Solve one to reveal the next. Solve all of them to reach the secret chamber at the bottom.

Camelot runs through the theme. Knights, swords, a final reveal that lands on Arthurian lore. Forty-five to seventy-five minutes for a first-timer, faster once you know the trick. Solos well. Also solves well with two people taking notes while one manipulates.

The wood feels heavier than the price. When the box is closed, it sits on a shelf like an heirloom that does not need dusting. When it is open, the puzzles keep both hands working.
